put ideas down to be discussed...

  • A collaboration point between the forest and the river nodes, be interesting to collect stories from the local communities to find out what people used to do in the olden days to clear water, the paper attached from India, where they take a local tree seed that is cationic (+ charged) to reduce bacterial load and turbidity. / Sachiko File:Unnisa and Deepthi Water Purification 2010.pdf

Baloon Maping

  • Myrmecodia tuberosa is very interesting plant that ants can live in, and it is from southeast asia. Can we find the ant plants in Yogyakarta?/ Fred
  • Other than Plastics Plastics Plastics... mobile lab or any modern activites rely heavily on the material of plastics, aspecially when it is so cheap with a good variability. I have experienced many workshops and project people just use them blindly. And it is so light, it flys everywhere with colourful appearances. With HLab14, I would like to rethink the usage of plastic in the practices of diy bio art and lab, tools and equipments. Can we replace plastics with other material? how does it affect the process and perhaps the result? What YOG has to offer for the alternatives? And may the act and process sounds different acoustically? Anyhow, plastic is fine but boring. / Pei

Did anyone do something on plastic cracking for fuel? as well as making poor grade stuff for art. how to make own filament....looking into hacking hot glue guns... bioplastics from starch /brian On the topic of make your own filament, I know this project http://hackaday.com/2013/11/01/low-cost-filament-extruder/ and another : The LYMAN FILAMENT EXTRUDER V3 is a complete filament extruding assembly for extruding 3D printer filament. It extrudes and winds the filament onto a spool which it then ready for use.The BOM shows a cost figure of near $900. The extruder alone can be made for under $250. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_E7crY9wfg / Pin
