Almost everybody travelling to India will need a visa. tourist should be ok for participating at the lab. it usually takes 1-3 weeks depending on where you apply for it. one has to fill the online application first and then send or bring everything to a local indian embassy/consulate in your country.

Online VISA to india

selected countries, such as finland, singapore, japan etc.. are eglegible for visa-on-arrival. but only at designated airports, not including bangalore.
